Our Instructors

Abbie - Owner and Competitive Team Coordinator
Abbie’s career journey at CCGA began back in 2010, twelve years prior to becoming the owner of the gym in 2022. She loves teaching all the various programs offered at the gym but her favorite event to teach is Bars! Abbie Is a graduate of Central Davidson High School and was a competitive gymnast all the way through Level 10. During her journey she qualified to compete in several Regional and National events. Abbie and her husband, Zack, bought the business in 2022 and she continues to coach her 14-year-old daughter, Chloe, on USAG Competitive Team.

Carrie - Assistant Manager and Competitive Team
Coordinator
Carrie has worked at CCGA for 14 years and has been doing gymnastics since only eighteen months old! This includes her time on the competitive team at CCGA from the ages of eight to thirteen years old. Favorite events to teach are Vault and Bars and Mighty Hoppers is her fave program to teach! When she isn’t at coaching at CCGA, Carrie loves the outdoors…fishing, gardening and hiking are where you can find her!

Ellen - Invitational and Recreational Class Instructor
Ellen aka “the gym mom” is an OG from 1992… part of the original competitive program here at the gym! She began working here around Summer 2014 but believes most of her experience in gymnastics comes from being a competitive team mom to Miss Sadie! Her favorite programs to teach are Preschool and Teenie Boppers! Miss Ellen finds joy interacting and teaching children while surrounded by friends who have become an extension of her family!

Grace - Invitational Instructor and Competitive Team Coach
Grace has been working at CCGA since April 2018 and her favorite program to teach is USAG Competitive Team!! Her favorite events to coach are Floor and Bars. Grace was a competitive gymnast for ten years achieving Level 9 status. After high school she went on college to attain her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Psychology.

Mallory - Invitational Instructor and Competitive
Team Coach
Mallory has been part of the CCGA staff for nine years now! Her favorite program to teach is a tie between Competitive Team and Playful Parenting…but she loves teaching all of the events not just one favorite! Before completing her degree at NC State University and continuing her journey in nursing school now, Mallory was a Level 8 gymnast when she graduated high school! When she’s not working and studying, she likes playing with her dogs and working cheer competitions!!!

Makayla - Invitational Instructor and Competitive Team Coach
Makayla started working at CCGA In June 2022 and enjoys teaching AAU Bronze most of all! Her favorite event to teach is Bars! Miss Makayla has a Bachelor’s degree In Exercise Science and was a competitive gymnast for 8 years…all the way to Level 8! In her free time she golfs, hikes, exercises and spends time with family. Another fun fact about Makayla is that she ran Cross country and Track in college!
